Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) Monoclonal Antibody
Human metapneumovirus (hMPV), like human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), is classified in the Pneumovirinae subfamily of the Paramyxoviridae family. However, hMPV is most closely genetically related to avian meta- pneumovirus (formerly called turkey rhinotracheitis virus). These two viruses are classified in the genus Metapneumovirus, with hMPV the first in this genus to cause disease in humans. Human metapneumovirus can cause upper and lower respiratory tract infections in people of all ages. Upper respiratory tract infections include colds, while lower respiratory tract infections include pneumonia or bronchitis.
This antibody reacts with human metapneumovirus. The specific epitope has not been identified.
ELISA: use at 0.1-1.0ug/ml. Immunoblotting: use at 1-5ug/ml. Immunofluorescence: use at 2-10ug/ml on virus-infected cells.
These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Reconstitute in distilled water.
This product is stable for at least one (1) year at -20oC to -70oC. Reconstituted product should be stored in appropriate aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
