Calnexintogetherwithcalreticulinplayakeyroleinglycoproteinfoldingbyinteractingwithfoldingintermediatesviatheirmonoglycosylatedglycans.CalnexinhasalsobeenshowntoassociatewiththemajorhistocompatABIlitycomplexclassIheavychains,partialcomplexesoftheTcellreceptor,andBcellsurfaceimmuno-globulin.
