This antibody recognizes an epitope at the C-terminus of human CIKS/Act1 (Connection to IKK and SAPK/JNK), an activator of IKK. CIKS/Act1 interacts directly with IKKγ and also activates activating transcription factor (ATF) and activator protein 1 (AP-1) through Jun kinase (JNK). CIKS/Act1 is associated with inflammation and stress responses and is expressed in a variety of human tissues.

Immunoblotting: use at 0.5-1 ug/ml. In immunoblots, a band of 63 kD is detected.

Positive control: Human placenta tissue lysate.

Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

This antibody is stable for at least one

(1) year at -20oC. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
